Bookings, Deposits & Payment

A deposit is required to secure all bookings. The deposit amount is set by Boss Bar Hire at its discretion and is non-refundable.

Deposits must be paid by bank transfer.

The balance must be paid in full no later than 48 hours prior to delivery. If paying via bank transfer, funds must clear by this time and a receipt must be provided to contact@bossbarhire.com.au.

If paying the full invoice by credit card, additional fees may apply.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable.
-
No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the event.
-
No refunds for change of mind.
-
Drink selections cannot be changed within 14 days of the event.

Refunds for unused, sealed kegs may be available if agreed in writing prior to the event. Where eligible, Boss Bar Hire may refund up to 85% of the purchase price. Not all kegs are refundable.

Boss Bar Hire will not be liable for cancellations or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to weather, accidents, venue restrictions, or supply interruptions). In such cases, the Hirer remains liable for any hire charges already incurred.
Delivery, Setup & Pickup

Standard delivery and pickup hours are Friday–Saturday and Monday–Tuesday, 8am–6pm.

Additional charges apply for deliveries or collections outside these hours.

The Hirer must ensure safe access and an appropriate setup location at the event site.
Delivery & Access Requirements
-
Larger bars with installed taps are heavy and cannot be carried up stairs. In limited cases, 1–2 stairs may be manageable at Boss Bar Hire’s discretion and must be arranged in advance. Bars cannot be carried up full flights of stairs.

Equipment cannot be unloaded or left on the street, including in CBD or high-traffic areas. A safe and legal loading area must be provided by the Hirer or venue.

The Hirer must ensure a suitable loading dock or loading zone is available with at least 30 minutes clear access for delivery and collection.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery requires ground-level, direct access with no obstacles, narrow doorways, steep inclines, or long carries.

The Hirer is responsible for confirming with the venue that adequate delivery access is available. If access is unsuitable on arrival, Boss Bar Hire reserves the right to refuse delivery and the Hirer remains liable for all hire charges.

Additional charges may apply where delivery involves difficult access, delays beyond 30 minutes, long carries, restricted parking, or other conditions that extend standard delivery times.
Equipment Responsibility & Damage

The Hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection or return, including theft, loss, or damage caused by guests or third parties.

Equipment must only be used as instructed. The Hirer must not modify, repair, or tamper with the equipment.

If equipment becomes unsafe or damaged, the Hirer must stop using it immediately and notify Boss Bar Hire.

The Hirer is liable for:
-
All costs of repair or replacement of damaged, lost, or stolen equipment;
-
Hire charges during the period required to repair or replace equipment; and
-
Any loss or expense suffered by Boss Bar Hire as a result of such damage or loss.

Boss Bar Hire cannot be held liable for incorrect setup where the Hirer has collected and installed the equipment.

Any adjustment to equipment after installation by Boss Bar Hire is at the Hirer’s risk and voids liability.

All invoices for repair or replacement must be paid within 7 days. Overdue amounts may attract interest at 10% per annum or the maximum rate permitted by law, plus any debt recovery costs incurred.
Alcohol & RSA Compliance

Boss Bar Hire operates in accordance with the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation; Liquor Licence No. 36134645.

The Hirer must be at least 18 years of age and provide valid photo ID.
-
Where bartending services are provided, Boss Bar Hire staff will follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements, including refusing service to intoxicated or underage persons.

Boss Bar Hire reserves the right to cease service if conditions are unsafe or unlawful. No refunds apply in such circumstances.

No refund or compensation will be given where service is refused or stopped in accordance with RSA requirements.

Boss Bar Hire is not liable for any breach of liquor laws where alcohol is supplied, served, or consumed outside of its direct service.
Liability & Insurance

Boss Bar Hire holds $20 million public liability insurance.

Boss Bar Hire will use all reasonable care to provide safe, working equipment and services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Boss Bar Hire’s liability is limited to the total hire or service fees paid; and
-
Boss Bar Hire will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational damage).

The Hirer indemnifies Boss Bar Hire against all claims, damages, or expenses arising from misuse of equipment, breach of these terms, or the actions of the Hirer and guests.
Quotes
-
Quotes are valid for 7 days from issue.
-
Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been paid. Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Governing Law
-
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
