Bookings, Deposits & Payment

A deposit is required to secure all bookings. The deposit amount is determined by Boss Bar Hire and is non-refundable.

Deposits may be paid by bank transfer or credit card. Credit card payments may incur a processing fee.

The balance must be paid in full no later than 48 hours prior to delivery. Where payment is made by bank transfer, cleared funds must be received by this time. Proof of payment may be requested by Boss Bar Hire.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable.

No refunds will be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the event.

No refunds are available for change of mind.

Drink selections and major booking changes cannot be made within 14 days of the event.

Refunds for unused, sealed kegs may be available where agreed in writing prior to the event. Where eligible, Boss Bar Hire may refund up to 85% of the purchase price. Not all kegs are refundable.

Boss Bar Hire will not be liable for cancellations or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) weather, accidents, venue restrictions, supplier delays or interruptions. In these circumstances, the Hirer remains liable for any hire charges already incurred.

 

Delivery, Setup & Pickup

Standard delivery and collection hours are:

• Friday – Saturday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

• Monday – Tuesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Additional charges may apply for deliveries or collections outside these hours.

The Hirer must ensure safe access and a suitable setup location is available.

 

Delivery & Access Requirements

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the delivery and setup location is suitable for Boss Bar Hire's equipment.

• Our delivery truck is approximately 3.1 metres high. Loading docks, undercover parking and access points must provide sufficient height clearance.

• We require approximately 3 metres of clear rear access to safely unload equipment.

• Where a loading dock is required, it must be booked and available for our scheduled arrival.

• Our keg bars and larger bar equipment cannot be carried up or down stairs. In limited circumstances, one or two steps may be manageable at Boss Bar Hire's discretion if discussed prior to the event.

• Equipment must be able to be transported from the vehicle to the setup location via level ground or suitable trolley access.

• Please advise Boss Bar Hire before confirming your booking if the venue has stairs, narrow access, steep paths, soft ground, restricted vehicle access or any other delivery limitations.

• If the nominated setup location cannot be accessed safely on arrival, Boss Bar Hire reserves the right to install the equipment at the nearest suitable alternative location or refuse delivery where no safe alternative exists.

• Additional charges may apply where deliveries involve excessive waiting times, difficult access, long carrying distances or other conditions outside standard delivery requirements.

 

BYO Events

Where the Hirer supplies beverages:

• All beverages must be fully chilled prior to our staff arriving.

• Boss Bar Hire does not provide refrigeration for chilling warm beverages during service.

• Where adequate refrigeration is unavailable, we strongly recommend hiring a cool room or refrigerated trailer.

• Unless otherwise agreed in writing, garnishes are not included with BYO packages.

 

Equipment Responsibility & Damage

The Hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection or return, including theft, loss or damage caused by guests or third parties.

Equipment must only be used as instructed. The Hirer must not modify, repair or tamper with the equipment.

If equipment becomes unsafe or damaged, the Hirer must immediately stop using it and notify Boss Bar Hire.

The Hirer is liable for:

• Repair or replacement of damaged, lost or stolen equipment;

• Hire charges during any repair or replacement period; and

• Any loss or expense suffered by Boss Bar Hire as a result of the damage or loss.

Boss Bar Hire cannot be held liable for incorrect setup where the Hirer has collected and installed the equipment.

Any adjustment to equipment after installation by Boss Bar Hire is undertaken entirely at the Hirer's risk.

Invoices relating to repairs or replacement must be paid within 7 days. Overdue accounts may incur interest at 10% per annum (or the maximum rate permitted by law) together with any debt recovery costs.

 

Alcohol & RSA Compliance

Boss Bar Hire operates in accordance with the Victorian liquor licensing requirements.

Liquor Licence No. 36134645

The Hirer must be at least 18 years of age and provide valid photo identification upon request.

Where bartending services are provided, Boss Bar Hire staff will comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation, including refusing service to intoxicated persons or persons under 18 years of age.

Boss Bar Hire reserves the right to suspend or cease service where conditions become unsafe or unlawful.

No refund or compensation will be provided where service is refused or ceased in accordance with RSA obligations.

Boss Bar Hire accepts no responsibility for breaches of liquor laws where alcohol is supplied, served or consumed outside its direct control.

 

Liability & Insurance

Boss Bar Hire maintains $20 million Public Liability Insurance.

Boss Bar Hire will exercise reasonable care in providing safe equipment and professional services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Boss Bar Hire's liability is limited to the total fees paid for the relevant hire or service.

• Boss Bar Hire will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business interruption or reputational damage.

The Hirer indemnifies Boss Bar Hire against claims, damages or expenses arising from misuse of equipment, breach of these Terms & Conditions or the actions of the Hirer or their guests.

 

Quotes

Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued.

Boss Bar Hire reserves the right to amend quoted pricing after the quote validity period has expired.

Bookings are not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

 

Final Booking Confirmation

Final drink selections, service times and any booking changes should be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the event.

Boss Bar Hire cannot guarantee changes requested within 14 days of the event.

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
